My Minimalist Summer Skincare Routine

Spread the love

As a homemaker, I am in full on mom mode from the moment I wake up until I go to bed. I savor that hot cup of coffee, listening to the birds chirping while I stroll through my urban garden. The only other “me-moment” I savor every day is my skincare routine. Once I hit my 30s and decided I needed to get real skincare — and it changed how I felt about myself…. but that doesn’t mean this mama to 7 can spend an hour at the bathroom sink!

I may have a minimalist skincare routine, but with the right, curated products can make a big difference on how my skin looks and how I feel. If you’ve noticed it too, as the weather warms, your regular routine needs to be altered: you’d be right — our skin needs change based on the time of year. And if you are like me, you enjoy a more natural, quick skincare routine with your summer glow.

I would start by tweaking 1-2 products as we head into the spring and summer than overhauling your established routine. Today, I am sharing my top five favorite products from Oliveda.

I love that Oliveda takes a healing standpoint to the products, they also OWN the olive trees that make up their products, and they operate on EU Standards, which are currently much stricter than the US.

Cleansing Gel

I love a good cleansing oil in winter when the air is drier. As the weather changes and starts to warm up, the oil cleanse is something I opt to change out, even with my dry skin type. While the cleansing gel still removes makeup and dirt, it leaves my skin feeling tight, but with the other products I add to my routine, I’m not lacking any moisture.

F38 Purifying Cleansing Gel
F71 Corrective Cleansing Gel — gold labels include a high “dose” of anti-aging ingredients!

Serum

The product you choose in this step can help with any part of your skin you want help with like, hyper-pigmentation, redness, anti-aging, hydrate, glow, etc.

F06 Cell Active Serum — helps with cell turnover.
F59 Corrective Serum-– anti aging.
F81 AHA + HT Serum smoother skin texture. (use this PM only)

Moisturizer

My #1 recommendation is to have a good moisturizer! If you damage your skin’s barrier it can take months to heal. Healthy, hydrated skin is underappreciated on how your skin looks and feels.

F07 Anti-aging Face Cream
F08 Cell Active Face Cream — a lighter version of F07, but great for those with normal to oily skin.

A Hint of Color

This Olive Rose Skin Tint is a “no makeup” makeup look! Perfect for summer days that give a glow and just a tad bit of color. For any spring summer events, you can layer it (or mix it) with a bit of foundation too!!

You can shop olive rose HERE or take the shade finder quiz HERE. The color of the bottles can be misleading, and the shades are forgiving and blend in well!

Mask

I use to think masks were saved for “fun,” but using them routinely can help your skin. There are many to choose from, but you will find me once a week, full on green-faced, reading a book!

SHOP Face Mask Options — I LOVE the Matcha mask.

You can see the products and hear me chat about why I love them in this YouTube Video:

BONUS product

If you have room in your budget grab the F60 eye cream! My jar isn’t even halfway gone and I’ve had it over 6 months!

Have you tried Oliveda yet? What is your favorite product?

If you would like to see what products match up with your skin — take the OliveBrain Quiz right HERE. Bonus— add 2 of the recommended products to your cart and get a freebie with your order! (The freebie varies throughout the year). Have additional questions ? Feel free to email me at findingfaithsfuture (@) gmail (dot) com.
