I’m super excited to share this video tutorial on How To DIY Stain Interior Wood Doors. We actually ended up replacing and staining 7 of them!
Replacing our interior doors have been on our “fix it” list since we moved into our home over 3 years ago. It took us awhile to get to them and our first thought changing out the handles and hardware and painting them (see photo below). After getting the first door changed we still didn’t love it so it was back to the drawing board. And lots of browsing when visiting any home improvement store.!
Deciding to DIY Staining the Interior doors was a bit intimidating at first. We quickly realized there are only a few basic tips to follow and with a few other wood projects under our belt we jumped in.
It was my husband that found the new door choice, which perfectly matched our new front door! So it was of course, a no brainer! We bought two, and later bought the other 5 when Menards had the 11% back rebate!
*I* was a bit intimidated because my husband gave me total control and I was worried if I messed them up, I would have to look at them for the next XX amount of years . Fast forward not only am I super proud of myself for DIY Staining 7 Interior Doors, I LOVE the look of them! So much so, I said if we move, I’d be happy to staining interior doors again.
