Among the many new foods we have been eating over the last couple of months, the kids have requested Cherry Chia Jam again. It’s tart, slightly sweet, and a delicious bright flavor to whatever you are eating it with – toast or oatmeal are the favorites here!
We watch the amount of sugar we consume, so I made this with maple syrup instead of refined sugar. Maple syrup has a lower glycemic index so it will not spike your blood sugar as much, it is less processed and contains antioxidants and minerals.
Adding the health benefits of frozen fruit that was picked at its peak of freshness and chia seeds – you can feel good eating your morning toast !
