For as long as I can remember my Grandma has made loaves and loaves of this A to Z Quick Bread. I don’t think she could even make an accurate guess on how many loaves she has made over so many years! I have memories of crawling up on Grandpa’s lap and him sharing a warm buttered piece with me. Epitome of a good family recipe! What makes this an “A to Z” Quick Bread is simple switching out 1 ingredient for another (eg. mashed banana for pumpkin).

categories: Fill Your Freezer February, food
About three or four years ago I found myself purposefully doing freezer cooking in the month of February. I started it because I realized we had a habitual cycle of to getting take out too much in December (because hubby was home more), January would turn into a pantry challenge, and when February rolled around I had the momentum to eat healthy and fill our fridge/freezer back up with items we actually enjoy eating.
(more…)We Attempted Whole30: Here’s What Happened
We attempted Whole30 last month. I say attempted because we only made if officially 14 days. But wait, hear me out. I just wanted to write my family’s experience. I recognize that the Whole30 community would say that we didn’t complete the 30 days so it doesn’t count, and I would agree. But just in case this helps someone plan better, want an honest review, or are just reading through to gain some knowledge, I hope this helps them!

Super excited to say that these pie pumpkins grew in my garden this year! Pairing that with my favorite ‘easy button’ kitchen tool, my Instant Pot, made the pumpkin puree easy, super quick, and mostly hands off!

April Costco Haul
The kids have been asking me to do a Costco Haul video at least the last 5 Costco trips! I think all my YouTube-watching Costco Hauls have rubbed off on them too, haha!
We picked up some of our basic Costco items and a couple family requested things including: butter, pb2, quiche, and some proteins bars. I spent $107 and got out with 4 kiddos in less than 45 minutes!
You can watch below or click over to YouTube here. The kids really want to make more vidoes, so the plan is to post more of our adventures, nature walks, grocery hauls, and I really would love to video some of our home projects we are doing! So feel free to subscribe if you want to follow along! Our DIY Front Door Makeover would have been a good one to video!
What are some of your Costco Haul staples ?
